Dan and Alex’s engagement session was such a joy to capture. Dan is a local Tattoo artist who recently migrated his shop to Poultney, and Alex is a Counselor for a local school district. When they reached out about scheduling their shoot, Alex already had the perfect spot in mind: the south end of Lake St. Catherine known as “Little Lake”. The beautiful Wells Lakeside park, with the dramatic Wellsmere cliffs rising on the far side of the lake, made for a stunning backdrop.

Late October graced us with one of the final bursts of fall foliage and gorgeous weather, setting the tone for a laid-back and memorable session. Dan and Alex were wonderfully open to my prompts and direction, which made capturing their connection feel effortless. The shots we created together feel authentic, organic, and truly reflect who they are as a couple.

Fun bonus, Dan and Alex are actually our neighbors! This shoot was not only a chance to create beautiful photos but also to get to know them better. I feel so lucky to have had the chance to document this exciting chapter in their lives. Congrats you two!!
